Technology, And How Free Yourself From Digital Life

June 13, 2017 by admin Leave a Comment

Being a mum I naturally want to record every single moment of my daughters’ life, and I don’t even have to wait for the photos to be developed. Of course, then I have to delete the outtakes and organize the rest. I have to label them and store them and back them up so I don’t lose them...sounds overwhelming already ;-) Weird, as this never did when dealing with 'normal' paper pictures. Sometimes I wonder if digitizing has really made things simpler. I wonder if I’m living my life as it … [Read more...]

3 Purposeful Questions Before You Go To Sleep

June 12, 2017 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

I am a big fan of rhythm and routine—Not rigid and inflexible as in the many years before I had my daughter, when I lived like the slave rather than the master of my agenda. But a gentle structure that ebbs and flows as needed and generally helps me live on purpose, clearly aligned with my vision and values. An important part of my daily rhythm is to begin and end my days with simple routines designed to support mind, body and soul. Nothing fancy and yes, occasionally, I break … [Read more...]

The Oil that can help with nearly Everything…If in doubt, use this oil, they say!

April 3, 2017 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

Frankincense oil is known as the King of Oils – and it truly deserves this title. I use it daily to promote my health and if I ever had to choose just one oil to have, it would be frankincense. Frankincense has a long history of being used as a prized and precious essential oil. Historically it was used by the Babylonians, Assyrians and Egyptians in religious ceremonies, and as a resin for balms and salves. And of course, the three wise men brought frankincense to the baby Jesus as an … [Read more...]

What Is Mindfulness

March 6, 2017 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

Ever wondered what Mindfulness actually means? Have you ever driven your car somewhere and arrived at your destination only to realize you remember nothing about your journey? Or started eating a packet of chips and then suddenly noticed all you had left in your hands was an empty packet? Most of us have! These are some common examples of ‘mindlessness’ – A state we also often refer to as being on ‘autopilot.’ When we slip into autopilot (and research shows that the average person is in … [Read more...]

What’s Your Purpose

January 20, 2017 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

There are many millions of people on the planet now with a important purpose. They are here to play a role in the creation of a new world that will operate on very different principles than the one we live in today. Most have no idea about this. They are just living ordinary lives while doing extraordinary things. New insights, new values, new behaviors, new ways of thinking, new actions and more care are an unfolding part of these principles. They are setting a new baseline for how the … [Read more...]

Simple Yoga Asanas To Complement Your Gratitude Practice

January 19, 2017 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

At times when life is feeling particularly rough, challenging or even hopeless, invoking feelings of genuine gratitude and moving our bodies in ways that change our current state is perhaps the most proactive thing we can do. Genuine feelings of gratitude increase blood flow to the hypothalamus, and increases both dopamine and serotonin production. This counters low self-esteem, loneliness and depression, and results in better sleep, higher levels of alertness, enthusiasm, optimism and … [Read more...]

I guess these days most people do have or had some sort of pets in their life's but why the strong statement that it should be compulsory... Well this post will open your eyes, touch your soul, stroke your heart and feed your body...take these next few minutes so everything you read here can be absorbed into your whole being :-)  Life itself is becoming such a race and competition that most people loose the sense of what actually matters and they stop searching for their Purpose and just live … [Read more...]

The Mineral Silica, The Big, Loud and Boisterous Friend Who Is Like The Bodyguard You Never Had

October 17, 2016 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

Let's look at the mineral silica, describing its function in the body, the problems which arise when it's deficient, and the best food sources and supplement forms for getting it into your body. In the body silica's personality varies according to it's use. When biochemically active, it's like a noisy, rackety jackhammer, busting through hardened spurs and stones, and clearing pockets of settled wastes and crowds of putrid onlookers ('move it along, there's nothing to see here'). This may … [Read more...]

Paleo Sweet Potato Waffles – Only 3 Ingredients, Gluten Free and Totally Yummy

October 14, 2016 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

When you start to focus on gluten-free eating, it’s easy to feel like you’re leaving behind a lot of breakfast favorites. That’s why I’m so grateful for these indulgent sweet potato waffles. Pancakes, french toast and waffles, though delicious, are generally void of nutrients, high in sugar and made with refined flour. Unfortunately, the traditional form of these recipes don’t really have a place in a truly conscientious diet. Kicking the white carbs, however, doesn’t have to mean you’re … [Read more...]

DIY Thieves/On-Guard Oil Blend

October 11, 2016 by Rita Schwarcz Leave a Comment

There’s are zillions of antibacterial products on the market now that target nasty germs, but it’s actually pretty scary when you look at the ingredients and that so many of them are full of harsh chemicals that are harmful to your health and can actually cause bacteria resistance. A much safer alternative is this thieves / on-guard oil blend. Why the 2 different names...well that's another story...not really that important. 2 different companies which used to be one, now use 2 different … [Read more...]
